The Therapists Behind Our Oak Hill Clinic
Dr. Lou (Louisa Tomaio, D.Ac., LMT) started Deep Relief in 2014 to address the uneven pressure and inconsistent results clients often found at chain massage centers. She is a licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist with more than 20 years of experience.
Every massage therapist on our team is Texas-licensed, insured, and vetted, and each completes DR Hit The Spot™ training before treating clients. Team specialties include Pure Ashi barefoot massage and prenatal positioning.

Common Aches and the Sessions That Fit Them
Neck and upper back from desk work.
Long hours at a screen can tighten the base of the skull, the base of the neck, and the upper back. Our Signature DEEP Tissue Massage targets all three in sequence.
Low back and hips from long drives.
Hours in the car on US 290, SH 71, or MoPac can leave the low back and hips tight. The same signature session works the quadratus lumborum, glutes, and piriformis, and a 10-minute Ashiatsu spot treatment adds deeper pressure on large muscle groups.
Trail and training soreness.
Runs and hikes on the Barton Creek Greenbelt or around Lady Bird Lake can tighten calves, hamstrings, and hips. Thai massage combines assisted stretching with rhythmic compression, and you can add 10 minutes of cupping to any massage for $40.
Injury or limited range of motion.
Orthopedic massage works muscles, fascia, and joints to restore mobility after a strain or injury.
Head and sinus pressure.
Sinus pressure is common during mountain cedar season, which runs from roughly December through February in Central Texas. The $20 Migraine or Allergy Relief add-on gives you 10 extra minutes of acupressure and massage at sinus, pressure, and meridian points.
Pregnancy aches and swelling.
Prenatal massage uses safe positioning and supportive bolstering to soothe back pain and swelling. Let the front desk know you are pregnant when you book.
How a DR Hit The Spot™ Session Works
Each signature session moves through seven areas in a fixed order: the base of the skull, the base of the neck, the upper and mid back, the waistline, the hips and glutes, the front of the neck, and the chest. The method combines long gliding strokes and muscle stripping with precise work at muscle attachments, origin and insertion points, and key acupuncture points.

You set the pressure. Our Perfect Pressure Number System gives you a simple way to choose it, and the work stays at that level from start to finish. The Signature Relaxation Massage follows the same pathways with lighter pressure, long Swedish strokes, and complimentary lavender aromatherapy.

What Happens at Your First Appointment
01
Your first visit starts with a short intake form covering your health history, current pain, and any conditions your therapist should know about. It only takes a few minutes, and your answers guide the session.
02
Your therapist reviews the form and completes a short assessment before the massage begins. If a different treatment suits your problem better than the one you booked, we can switch it during your visit.
Questions About Massage at Our Austin Clinic
Do you serve clients outside Oak Hill?
Yes. Our service area includes Circle C, Travis Country, Sunset Valley, Scenic Brook, Shady Hollow, Village at Western Oaks, and Barton Creek West, plus Bee Cave, Lakeway, and Dripping Springs to the west.
Do I need a membership to book?
No. Anyone can book at non-member prices. A 50-minute Signature DEEP Tissue or Relaxation Massage is $140 without a membership and $110 with one.
Can I request a specific therapist?
Yes. Book any therapist by name, or choose by specialty, such as Pure Ashi, prenatal, orthopedic, or Thai massage. Everyone on the team follows the same DR Hit The Spot™ protocol, so the method stays consistent if you see a different therapist.
What add-ons can I include with a massage?
Options include magnesium cream for tired muscles, a warm CBD relief rub worked into tight areas, and complimentary lavender or eucalyptus aromatherapy. Ask the front desk which add-ons fit your session when you book.
