Dr. Sean Tipton was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and began his medical career as a surgical technologist in a mobile hospital unit. Following his military service, he continued traveling across the United States as a surgical technologist, gaining experience in prestigious hospitals—including the Mayo Clinic—and specializing primarily in orthopedic surgical procedures.

Over the years, Dr. Sean lived in 16 different states before eventually settling in Arizona with his family. He earned his Bachelor of Life Science degree from Arizona State University in 2011. During that time, many of his family members—longtime nurses—relocated to Austin to work in local hospitals. After graduation, Dr. Sean joined them in Austin and spent several years serving at Dell Children’s Hospital.

It was in Austin that he discovered his passion for chiropractic care. He went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker University in Dallas and later returned to Austin to serve at the VA Outpatient Clinic, where he provided chiropractic care to veterans and developed his patient-centered, whole-body approach.

Dr. Sean has been an essential part of Deep Relief since the day the doors opened at our current Austin location in 2020. His calming presence, clinical precision, and commitment to individual wellness have helped shape the culture and standard of care our clients know and trust.

Family remains one of the most important parts of life for Dr. Sean. Moving back to Austin allowed him to be close to his parents and three siblings, who all live nearby. While in Austin, he met and married his soulmate, and in 2018 they welcomed their son, Finley. Becoming a husband and father has been one of the greatest joys of his life.

As a chiropractor, Dr. Sean is passionate about whole-body healing and maintaining long-term wellness. He is trained in a wide range of techniques tailored to each individual—not a one-size-fits-all approach—and brings a deeply attentive, compassionate style to every patient interaction.

“At the end of the day, I’ve always believed a doctor is an educator—someone full of knowledge who can help you understand your body. Someone who heals, someone you can trust, and someone who feels like a friend. That is always been my goal,” says Dr. Tipton.
